Leadville's Roads to Riches A 40 minute video divided into three sections: Section I, shows an overview of the gold and silver boom, the ethnicity of those who came here and formed the area known as Leadville. On-location video of what's left of many of these communities like Stumpftown, Finntown, Oro City, along with rare photos from the late 1880's. Section II, features the famous icons who were a part of Leadville's mining boom development... Horace Tabor, Charles Dow, J.J. & Molly Brown, Guggenheim, Fryer, Lovell, Charles Beotcher, David May, etc... those who were the "silver kings" and who made millions over night, and the financial wizards who made millions in other endeavors, but who all started right here in Leadville. Leadville's Story of Baby Doe Tabor - (Vol IV) The last in the award winning 4-tape series titled "The Best of Times Demands Repentance - 1883-1935." Diamond studs on the diaper pins... a $15,000 christening gown... 100 imported peacocks strutting the grounds at their new Sherman Street mansion in Denver... 3 custom carriages... life could not get any better for the Tabor's. But it could certainly get worse... Over the next 10 years Horace and Baby squandered over $10,000,000... and by 1898 they were destitute. Horace began working at the Globe Smelter dumping slag at $3/day and died broke. Baby and her two daughters suffered on the streets of Denver until Lilly finally left, never to return, and Silver Dollar was found murdered in a cheap hotel room in Chicago.
